Who is Eligible to Join?

If you have served in one of the following areas, your are eligible for membership of the RSL (QLD Branch)

  • Any person who has served in any of the Australian Defence forces in any theatre or conflict.
  • Any person who has served for not less than 6 months as a regular, Reservist or National Serviceman in ADF or the Armed Forces fo Australia's Alies. Shorter service can also qualify if discharge was honourable and for reasons beyond the individuals control.
  • Any Australian Citizen who as served overseas as a member of an approved peacekeeping force.

Why Join the ?

As a member of the RSL in Queensland, you belong to an organisation which:

  • Provides Pension & Welfare advocacy and advice to veterans and their dependants on obtaining eligible benefits and entitlements.
  • Is one of the largest providers of aged care for veterans
  • Is involved in youth, community and welfare initiatives
  • Provide for the sick, wounded and needy among those who have served and their dependants, regardless of their membership of the league
  • Perpetuate close ties of friendship created by mutual service in the ADF or Allied Forces
  • Indicate loyalty to the Nation to guard the good name and preserve the interests and standing of members of the Defence Forces
  • Rememberance of Commemoration
